Zippo Hand Warmer
This is a handwarmer from the world famous lighter company Zippo. It is a reusable warmer based in the Zippo lighter fluid.
To use it you fill it with the lighter fluid, then light it up with a lighter (Zippo for example) and close it; you store it in a pouch that comes with the warmer and put it in your pockets. The warmer will quickly start producing heat and it will continue working for about 24 hours per refill.
The refilling process is simple and the fluid is widely available for Zippo lighters and that makes this really reusable compared to other warmers that need a special fuel or more preparation to work.
The amount of heat generated is quite good without being hot enough to produce burns or problems, the way the warmer burns the fuel without the generation of flames and fumes is a mistery but we can say it works perfectly well.

Are you able to switch the unit off once ignited?
Yes, it can be "turned off"....essentially you pop the burner off of the main body like you would to fill it with fluid...turn extinguish the catalyst, you pop the burner off and put it down on something that won't burn...let it sit till it gets cold and your good to go...I just bought one...it puts out good heat, I'll better tomorrow in the deer stand.
This thing is horrible! First of all the burner doesnt stay on. The lid wobbles back and forth in your pocket which causes the burner to wobble off also. Second, The thing does'nt get hot unless it is out of the bag. Once you get it nice and hot and put it back in the bag, it either cools down or the burner comes off and it stops heating. What a waste of $29.99. DONT BUY it!!!!!!!!
This thing is JUNK! it doesnt work! The burner just wont stay on. Poor design! Waste of money! Buy a different brand it has to be better than the Zippo!
hbronco96 clearly didn't pay attention in high school chemistry. You can 'burn' fuel with a catalyst so that the oxidation rate is slowed right down. Higher efficiency and fewer emissions - AND NO FLAME. If there is a flame IT'S NOT WORKING PROPERLY!!! These devices DO NOT produce a flame and work REALLY WELL.
This thing is awesome. With a full tank it's still burning.... It's almost 30 hours now. We were shopping all day yesterday for last minute Christmas gifts and this little hand warmer kept me and my girlfriend nice and toasty. Im planning of buying two more of this in the future.
I find this product awesome! Puts out great heat. I wear a hooded sweater and a thick jacket at work. Put the zippy in my sweater and keeps my core vary warm all day. As far as it not fitting correctly. Use a pair or pliers and squeeze the burner slightly till it fits snug .I used my hand and slightly pressed the vented cap together slightly and and all fits snug now. I couldn't be more happy. Its better then a disposable 6hr of heat. Just fill light and go and made in the usa! Who could hate that
